If you don't want AI to replace you, delegate more to it

If you want AI not to fire you, delegate more to AI.

This is a bit of my pain right now, because I'm replacing people who don't automate their work with people who do. And it's not that I enjoy it โ€” I genuinely don't. These are real people. But keeping both the AI and the person doing the same job just doesn't make sense anymore.

And the hard part is โ€” nothing is actually stopping people from learning this, and that's what gets to me.

So here's my idea: the more you delegate to AI, the stronger you become in the market. We only do maybe 10% of the work we actually could be doing. When you push that 10% to AI, you go find the next thing, try to implement it through AI, find something else, and implement again. And at some point, that loop is the job: find it, frame it, implement through AI. Nothing in our world replaces that. ๐Ÿ”„

A simple example. We have a PM who automated turning meeting recordings into Jira updates. Used to do it all by hand โ€” listening back, changing statuses, writing comments. Then AI started doing it, and a client saw it and wanted the same for their team.

He didn't lose his job โ€” people started wanting him more, specifically him. Because he's not the person who updates Jira anymore, he's the person who knows what to automate and how to make it actually work, with his hands being just the UI on top of the system. ๐Ÿ’ก

Everyone is hiring people who do this right now, and letting go of people who don't. Use it.
